401(k) Savings Plan

The RMR Group offers both Traditional 401(k) and Roth 401(k) investment options.

Traditional 401(k)

  1. Allows employees to invest pre-tax money among mutual funds
  2. No taxes are paid until you retire, and withdrawals begin at 59.5 years old
  3. Required distributions at age 73 years old.

Roth 401(k)

  1. Allows employees to invest post-tax money among mutual funds.
  2. To make withdrawals, account must be at least five years old and participant must be age 59.5.
  3. Avoid minimum distributions at 73 years old.

You can enroll or change your contributions in the 401(k) plan at any time during the year at principal.com.

Plan Details

Company Match: The RMR Group will match 100% of the employee contribution, up to 3% of pay, and an additional 50% of the next 2% for each pay period in which a contribution is made.

Employee Contributions: You are allowed to contribute up to 100% of your annual earnings, or the IRS maximum, whichever is less. The limit for 2024 is $23,000 with an additional $7,500 catch-up amount allowed for participants over age 50.

Vesting Schedule: Both employee and The RMR Group’s contributions are vested immediately.
