Short-Term Disability

Short-Term Disability provides partial income replacement if you are disabled for up to 90 days. This is an employer-paid plan. If you are a benefits-eligible employee, you will be automatically enrolled.

Based on your state of residence, you may be eligible for state-specific paid sick, family or bonding leave. For more information or coordinating benefits with Sun Life Short-Term Disability coverage, please visit the Leave of Absence page or contact HR.

Long-Term Disability

Long-Term Disability provides partial income replacement if you are disabled for more than 90 days. Long-Term Disability has two options:

1. Employer Paid – monthly benefit is taxed
   • Benefits-eligible employees are automatically enrolled in this option
2. Tax Choice, Employee Paid – monthly benefit is not taxed
   • You must elect this option during open enrollment
